Google Chrome Part 2

I have now downloaded and installed Google Chrome and some screenshots showing jonburrows.co.uk are below.

First first impressions are that it is very very fast, faster than Firefox even, it has a simple slick UI, and it does seem so far to be css compliant straight out of the box.

However the only couple of draw backs I have at the moment are;

a) the way my firewall pops up a warning at every request that it makes to the internet. Not a major problem since I can enable Google Chrome to allow all access to the internet. However at the moment whilst I'm still checking it out I'll live with it and set it to allow all in a couple of days.

b) When viewed in Firefox or IE the images on JonBurrows.co.uk are reflected underneath via javascript and this fails to render the reflection properly.

The settings are also fairly limited at the moment, but you can do most of the basic things like change download directories. Startup settings etc. (see screenshots below)

This is obviously only a beta and has been out in the wild for less than 3 hours, but I have to say that Google have done a great job with Google Chrome, and I hope that development will continue on some extensions to turn it into a real IE beating browser.

And the basic settings.
